Let’s Make an Impact Together

For almost 50 years, Episcopal Impact Fund has been creating pathways out of poverty for our Bay Area neighbors. Today, we focus on housing security for families and youth, knowing that stable housing is the cornerstone of breaking the cycle of intergenerational poverty.

We combine the generosity of our supporters with the heart-centered work of our nonprofit partners to make an impact. We leverage the tenets of trust-based philanthropy to build long-term relationships with the nonprofit organizations we support so they can deliver real change.

Join us in creating a Bay Area where all our neighbors can thrive.

Our Vision: We envision a Bay Area where all families and youth have access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.

Our Mission: We channel our community’s time, talent, and treasure to support local organizations and programs dedicated to increasing access to dignified housing to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty in the Bay Area.

 Creating Pathways Out of Poverty

On a mission to break the cycle of intergenerational poverty in the Bay Area, we support local organizations dedicated to expanding access to dignified housing for families and youth. To achieve our vision, we rely on four key programs:

  • Grantmaking Our targeted, strategic grantmaking is guided by extensive experience and knowledge in poverty relief and housing security. Every dollar we invest creates a tangible and lasting impact.
  • Advocacy We live our convictions, championing policy changes that enhance access to secure, dignified housing. We strive to change the systems that perpetuate intergenerational poverty. Your voice and engagement amplify awareness and accelerate the path toward a more equitable and inclusive future.
  • Volunteering We host volunteer service days to support our nonprofit partners. These hands-on opportunities meet the organizations’ need for help and directly impact our community. Your participation is a vital thread in the tapestry of our shared mission.
  • Faith-based Affordable Housing At the core of our mission is the unwavering belief that stable housing is a fundamental human right. We collaborate with faith-based organizations to leverage their surplus or underutilized land to provide low-cost housing solutions to those in need.

Amplifying Your Impact

At Episcopal Impact Fund, impact isn’t just a buzzword. It’s the goal of all our work with and in our community.

To ensure your dollars are making an impact, we use our expertise and a thoughtful, strategic process to find and fund nonprofits ready to make an impact for families and youth today.

We target community-based service-providers, for which a single grant can make a significant difference, then build strong ongoing partnerships. We meet them where they are and bring our social capital to provide additional support.

In 2023 alone, we gave out more than 50 grants, totaling more than $900,000, and made an impact on over 100,000 lives!
